1. Source of Funding

The Makran Journal of Educational Research (MJER) operates under a sustainable and transparent publishing model supported through the following funding sources:

  • Author Publication Charges (APC): Fees collected from accepted manuscripts help cover editorial management, peer-review coordination, digital archiving, website maintenance, and publication services.

  • Institutional Support: Partial financial assistance is provided by the University of Makran and affiliated academic institutions supporting the journal’s activities.

  • Voluntary Contributions: Occasional donations from educational organizations, sponsors, and research bodies to promote open-access scholarly communication.

  • Print Subscriptions (Optional): Revenue generated from optional printed copies contributes to the journal’s operational sustainability.

MJER does not accept financial support from commercial advertisements or organizations that may compromise editorial independence.

2. Fee Details for Authors

MJER follows a clear, fair, and affordable publication fee structure:

Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • Standard APC for Accepted Articles: PKR 12,000 / USD 50

  • Covers editorial handling, plagiarism screening, peer-review management, copyediting, typesetting, DOI assignment, and online hosting.

Submission Charges

  • No submission fee is required at the time of manuscript submission.

Print Copy Charges (Optional)

  • Per Print Copy: PKR 1,800 / USD 9

  • Applicable for authors requesting hard copies of the published issue.

Fast-Track Review (Optional)

  • Fast-Track Processing Fee: PKR 8,000 / USD 35

  • Ensures an initial editorial decision within 7–10 working days.

  • Fast-track processing does not guarantee acceptance.

3. Waiver and Discount Policy

To promote inclusive and equitable access to academic publishing, MJER offers the following support:

  • 50% APC waiver for students and early-career researchers (with valid proof).

  • Full or partial waivers for authors from low-income regions or without institutional funding (upon formal request).

  • Special discounts for invited papers, collaborative research projects, and conference-based submissions.

All waiver requests are reviewed individually to ensure transparency and fairness.

4. Payment Methods

Authors may submit publication fees through the following approved channels:

  • Bank Transfer

  • Easypaisa / JazzCash (for domestic authors)

  • PayPal (for international authors)

An official invoice is issued after manuscript acceptance, and payment confirmation is required before final publication.
